Teaching

*In May/June 2022 I teach on the Online Digital Performance Practice short course for Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. This course is free to Scottish artist residents. For further information:

My teaching methodology is a hybrid mix:  I use Stanislavsky's Method of Physical Actions together with naturalistic techniques learned from my tutor, Uta Hagen's. Years of working in experimental theatre ensembles blend well with Viewpoints techniques as articulated by Mary Overlie, Anne Bogart & Tina landau. I add to this 13 years of teaching acting and directing to young adults in London.  A founding member of Avatar Body Collision included in the Index on Cyber Feminism I have developed digital performance methodologies gleaned from  over 20 years of digital performance practices.

This practice is adaptable to one to one tutoring, small and large groups in major public institutions, universities, community colleges, women's groups, theatres, corporations both online and offline. I am grateful to have been able to develop my practice while working with a diverse cohort from all over the world: actors, surgeons, teenagers, F.E & H.E. & MA students, government ministers, architects, elderly people and refugees.
